“Resurrection of the Lord” Church

“Resurrection of the Lord” Church, the year 1894. Patrimony number 1159/1. Monument of national value. It is located in Babyn village, Kosiv district.
The wooden church dates from 1894 (the date is applied on a wall of the church). It was consecrated in 1896. The Orthodox community uses the church. From 1983 to 1986, Vasyl Romaniuk, the future Patriarch Volodymyr of Kyiv and all Russia-Ukraine, served in the Babyn church.
The church has a cruciform plan, with the lateral arms cut off. Porches are attached to the narthex, from the west, and to the side walls from the north and south. Under the eaves, the beamed walls were not plastered. A stone bell tower with five arches stands to the west of the church, replacing the old wooden one that was built together with the church.
