The church of the Annunciation of the Most Holy Theotokos, year 1587. Patrimony number 233. Monument of national value. Located in Kolomyia city, Karpatska Street, no. 2.
It is one of the best examples of Hutsul sacred buildings. In 1845 the construction was extended, a fact recorded by an inscription on the western door. The church houses an iconostasis from that period, a gospel and icons made by the well-known Ukrainian iconographer of the 20th century Teofil Kopystynski. During the restoration, a new gilded iconostasis with four tiers was installed (the year 1800 is inscribed on the icon “The Last Supper”).
In 1983, a museum of decorated eggs was opened inside the church.
